Bandai MGSD ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos "Gundam IBO" Model Kit

Overview

The MGSD Gundam Barbatos reimagines the iconic mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans through the MGSD line, combining super-deformed proportions with Master Grade-inspired engineering. Standing approximately 115mm tall, the kit incorporates a detailed SD-scale Gundam Frame, layered armor construction, and extensive articulation that captures the mechanical character of Barbatos while maintaining a compact display size.

Unique MGSD-exclusive gimmicks bring the model to life, including expanding shoulder armor, articulated piston mechanisms, reflective clear parts, and a transforming 300mm Smoothbore Gun. The included mace features a deployable blade mechanism that expands from the weapon head, while the backpack can mount the suit's primary equipment for display. Its combination of intricate detail, expressive articulation, and distinctive styling makes it an appealing build for both SD collectors and Gunpla enthusiasts.

About Gundam Barbatos

The ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos is one of the 72 Gundam Frames developed during the Calamity War and serves as the primary mobile suit of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Rediscovered and restored by Tekkadan, Barbatos becomes the signature machine of Mikazuki Augus. Known for its exposed mechanical frame, powerful melee combat style, and continual upgrades throughout the series, Barbatos has become one of the most recognizable Gundams of the modern era.
